Fayetteville, Georgia sits 23 miles south of downtown Atlanta around the oldest courthouse building in the state, an 1825 landmark with a 58-foot pine bench out front. A city amphitheater, two breweries, and an eight-acre park are a short walk from the square, and Trilith Studios, where Black Panther was filmed, anchors a second walkable district four miles west. Strong household incomes, uneven but often excellent schools, and a real commute. A suburb with a middle, and a plot twist.
