Bear Shadow Festival
From website: Welcome to Bear Shadow, a 3-day music festival in Highlands, North Carolina. We’re proud to announce our 5th year of incredible live music with beautiful mountain scenery, warm spring temperatures, and unique flora and fauna. We’re also excited to introduce you to new experiences, fan-favorite daytime events, and as always, incredible Grammy-worthy live performances.
We’re focused on elevating your weekend at Ferngrove, located just 5 minutes from downtown Highlands, NC. Fans can build their weekend experience from morning through evening, with plenty of immersive opportunities designed to showcase the connection of music, mind, body and nature.
Camden Festival of Poetry
Annual multi-day poetry festival held in Camden, Maine, featuring workshops, craft talks, open mics, and a keynote address. Hosted by The Poets Corner and open to the public, with limited seating for some events.

25th Annual Mount Dora Taste
The Mount Dora Area Chamber of Commerce hosts this annual evening food and beverage festival in downtown's Sunset Park. Local restaurants offer samplings alongside craft beers and wine from Central Florida breweries. Ticketed event, 6–10 PM.
Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival
Now in its 61st year, this beloved free festival celebrates Amelia Island's shrimping heritage with live music, arts and crafts, a parade, shrimp boats, and Lowcountry seafood. The 2026 theme is "Stars and Shrimps Forever," honoring America's 250th anniversary.

MerleFest
MerleFest is a celebrated North Carolina music festival known for its rich mix of Americana, bluegrass, folk, blues, and roots music. Held on the campus of Wilkes Community College in Wilkesboro, it brings together acclaimed artists, emerging talent, food, crafts, and a lively small-town festival atmosphere.
Conway Riverfest
Since 1980, Conway has celebrated our Red, White and Blue with live music, delicious food, local vendors, fireworks show and kids activities. Appalachian Trail Days
The Appalachian Trail Days Festival is the biggest event of the year in Damascus and the world's largest celebration of the Appalachian Trail and hiker culture! Each year in May, the town swells to an estimated 25,000 people for the festival. You can expect a grand reunion of thru-hikers past and present, over a hundred vendors of handmade goods and some of the best outdoor gear in the industry, a packed schedule of live music and events, and a large crowd of trail supporters and hiking enthusiasts.

Lowcountry Shrimp Festival & Blessing of the Fleet
After a two-year hiatus, we are excited to be bringing back a local tradition! For 45 years, on the first Saturday in May, the town of McClellanville has rolled out the welcome mat for visitors from near and far to enjoy the Lowcountry Shrimp Festival and the Blessing of the Fleet. Plan on making the short drive off Highway 17 to the end of Pinckney Street to enjoy the 47th Annual Lowcountry Shrimp Festival and Blessing of the Fleet on Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Photo: Santee Photography
