In the summer the temperatures are comfortably warm, perfect for strolling along the picturesque harbor or enjoying a leisurely picnic in the park. However they dip from the upper 70’s to the mid 50’s at night. The sweaters never really get packed away. The skies are partly cloudy, allowing for ample sunshine to filter through and illuminate the vibrant colors of the town. The boats in the harbor happily bob, waiting for the next excursion. Kayaks and paddleboards scoot along the shore, with the more adventurous making it to the small islands just past the harbor. The neighboring lakes are fresh and chilly to all but a native Mainer, but are teeming with folks soaking up these long, long, summer days. Hiking trails call from every other direction.

September starts off warm but October does not see temps above 60 degrees so bring out the jackets. October is the wettest month of the year, so those cute rain boots will actually come in handy.
