Peterborough Diner

The Peterborough Diner is a classic American diner that offers comfort food in an old-school setting. Housed in a 1950s Worcester Lunch Car, this diner is a local favorite for breakfast and lunch. Open daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., the diner serves up hearty meals that are both delicious and affordable. We tried their fried french toast. Coopershill

Coopershill, located in Peterborough, New Hampshire, is known for its traditional pub fare with a twist of classic Irish recipes. They offer a variety of dishes, including artisan cheeses, Irish Curry, Guinness Stew, Mac & Cheese, Shepherd’s Pie, and even a Vegan Cottage Pie. Perhaps what they are best known for is their large curated whiskey collection, the largest in the state. They offer proper pints, classic cocktails, and what they describe as ‘deadly craic’. We imagine locals love this place to gather.

Sweet Macaroon

In February 2021 the town welcomed a delightful addition to its culinary scene with the opening of a new macaron bakery that quickly became a community favorite for its beautiful and delicious sweet treat. Lindsay LaRouche opened this darling little store and it is brimming with fresh macaroons! As we were headed out of town, this was our last moment, not to miss stop and the warm cappucinno and a box of select macaroons were exactly what we needed for the next leg of our trip! New Hampshire magazine had a chance to talk to LIndsay herself and you can read more here.

Post & Beam Brewing

While not an eating establishment exactly, we would be remiss if we did not mention the local brewery. Post & Beam Brewing is a craft brewery located in the heart of downtown Peterborough, New Hampshire, at 40 Grove Street. It opened in the summer of 2018 and has quickly become a beloved spot for locals and visitors alike. The brewery is housed in a beautifully renovated building that once served as the Grand Army of the Republic Hall, adding a touch of historical charm to the establishment. The brewery offers a variety of high-quality craft beers, ranging from light Belgian beers and British pub ales to New England IPAs and sours. Some of their offerings include Bitter Buffalo, a British Pub Ale, Orange Horizons, a Blood Orange and Tangerine Sour, and When the Sun Hits, a New England IPA. They also serve a light fare in their taproom, such as chips and dip, soft pretzels, and soups, and feature wood-fired pizza from Blackfire Farm on weekends

Peterborough's culinary scene is a testament to the town's vibrant community and its love for good food. Whether you're in the mood for a classic diner breakfast, a gourmet meal, or a healthy bite, Peterborough has something to offer.
