The Newport Jazz Festival 2025 returns to the scenic grounds of Fort Adams State Park in Newport, Rhode Island, from August 1–3, promising another unforgettable chapter in its storied legacy. Now celebrating its 71st year, this iconic festival-founded in 1954 by jazz impresario George Wein and Newport socialite Elaine Lorillard-remains a beacon for music lovers, drawing crowds from around the world to its picturesque seaside setting
This year’s festival will feature at least 49 acclaimed acts, with more artists still to be announced, spanning jazz’s rich traditions and its many genre-blending frontiers
The 2025 lineup is led by headliners Janelle Monáe, The Roots, and Jacob Collier, alongside jazz luminaries such as esperanza spalding, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Ron Carter Quartet, and a host of special collaborations and tributes curated by Artistic Director Christian McBride
