IS THIS YOUR MOXIETOWN?

Does this town check your boxes?

  • Walpole is a fabulous destination for a getaway with excellent dining and entertainment options - if well planned. There are abundant opportunities for outdoor activities surrounding the town from golf, to hiking to biking. The constraint is the limited overnight stay offerings. There are several exceptional choices in the area but none in-town Walpole.

  • Walpole would be a good match for certain entrepreneurs. It’s forthcoming fiber broadband will allow companies international online access. Proximity to the interstate and being two hours north of Boston allows entrepreneurs to be in the city with a pretty short drive. Local entrepreneurs would be more challenged just because of the size of the local market. However, we think there are key market segments where opportunity would exist.

Walpole would be a lovely match for remote workers and digital nomads, particularly during the warmer months of the year where outdoor activities are so abundant. Solid broadband and incoming fiber are pluses for this market

  • So much fresh air and places to explore! This town is a natural for raising children. Excellent schools with a heart for the environment and nature are here.

Over half of the population is married and it is a small hamlet so meeting likeminded souls may be perfect or difficult. We think it is worth spending some time here. Access to Boston is reasonable for a weekend of socializing if you love the solace of this small town.

There are a lot of recreation options and many new residents which is an advantage to making new friends. Over 35% of the population are Baby Boomers or older and the town does have a reputation for being a mecca for retirees. It’s slow pace, yet lots of opportunity to be engaged and active are appealing.

THE UNIQUE MAGIC INGREDIENTS

SPARKS & Vibes

A white card pinned with gold pin containing the text "The Walpole Vibe" and the words "Sweet Retreat" in orange cursive.

The way we see it, SPARKS are the places, events, activities that you remember about a MoxieTown, the ones that set them apart, the ones they are known for, & make a lasting impression.

Vibes , on the other hand, are that all-over feeling you get from a place, its unique ambiance.

Walpole has a vibe of Sweet Retreat. Its setting along a lazy river, surrounded by rolling hills, makes this hamlet town an idyllic New England dream. At the center of town is a renowned chocolate shop that makes this a favored destination.

The Downtown Scene

At its heart, the town commons serves as a canvas for the vibrant hues of community events and the playful antics of the Walpole Players, a group of devoted thespians who have been sprinkling magic over summer evenings since 1987. The commons is not just a stage; it's Walpole's community embrace. Throughout the seasons, it transforms into a bustling farmers' market, a stage of melodies, and the heart of festive celebrations. The village pulse quickens a few steps away, where quaint stores and charming restaurants dot the landscape, each one an invitation. From the dignified Federal to the majestic Greek Revival and the spellbinding Victorian, these buildings are not just relics to admire; they are homes where families infuse history with warmth and love, mending every nook and painting every cranny.
